    Brötchen kann man auch an der Rezeption erhalten.

    “Hippolytushoef erwies sich dankenswerter Weise als sehr touristenarm. Das Dorf ist schön ländlich gelegen und bietet eine Menge Spaziermöglichkeiten rundherum. Im Dorfkern findet man fußläufig alles Lebensnotwendige. Hier hat man definitiv seine Ruhe, wenn man diese Sucht. Auf den nahen Deichwegen und am Meer selbst (kein Sandstrand) waren wir zu jeder Tageszeit nahezu alleine und ungestört. Wer mit Hunden anreist sollte sich unter Umständen darauf einstellen, dass es im Dorf SEHR viele Katzen gibt: man kommt nahezu an keiner Einfahrt vorbei, ohne auf eine zu stoßen.
    Mit dem Auto ist man in weniger als einer halben Stunde in Den Helder, der nächsten etwas größeren Stadt.
    Wenn ihr also Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, dem Rummeltourismus fernbleiben wollt, gerne und viel mit euren Vierbeinern unterwegs seid und einen "autarken" Urlaub genießen wollt, dann seid ihr hier richtig.
    Vorsicht ist jedoch bei den ausgeschriebenen Hundesträngen im Umkreis geboten: wie wir zu unserer Enttäuschung feststellen mussten, sind die Online-Beschreibungen ebendieser häufig falsch. So wurde in Den Helder von mehreren Plattformen ein 7km langer Sandstrand mit expliziter Freilauferlaubnis angepriesen, vor Ort mussten wir dann jedoch feststellen, dass es es sich um 7km Asphaltdeich mit SEHR groben und scharfkantigen Steinhaufen in Richtung Wasser handelte. Die Verletzungsgefahr für Hunde und Menschen empfanden wir als sehr hoch. Diese Beschreibung trifft auf alle "Strände" zu, die wir in der Nähe aufgesucht haben. Vielleicht hatten wir einfach Pech, jedoch haben wir während unserers gesamten Aufenthalts keinen Meter Sandstrand zu gesicht bekommen; auch dort nicht, wo dieser ausdrücklich angepriesen war.”
