”The house has very little windows over the street (that cannot be left open without anyone in the room, everyone can jump inside) with very old fixtures, so the it smells dump. The third bed in the main room needs a real mattress (only a battered rectangle of foam rubber is placed), The aircon in the main room (the one with the kitchen) when in function, leaks water between the inner wall and the split. The aircon in the third room was broken. Linen and bathroom were very clean but the rest of the house is quite dirty (under the sink where the pots are placed we have found spiders and all their cobwebs..... ) The rag hasn't been seen for a long time also under the bed, over the fridge (very small), in kitchen drawers and cabinets, over the tv etc.
There are only two small pots and two small pans, so to cook pasta for 5 people we were forced to use a chinese wok.
Televisions (one per room, each with its decoder) are very very old and the one in our room did not work. But the greatest discomfort is that for the most of the day, especially from 18.30 to 21.00 THERE IS NO WATER. Only few cold drops. For three days we have been unable to have shower before 23.00. Positiv: Very good central position in the quiet village of Evangelismos. This ancient house (one room with bathroom and kitchen and two external double rooms, each with its own bathroom) is perfect for a group of max 7 people, very spacious outside with a pretty barbecue.
The owner has been kind and helpful. Negativ: The house needs a big internal renovation (furniture, especially kitchen and installations) and a deep cleansing Restaurant: Restaurant "Απόλαυση" in Kamaria - Close to Finikounda, very good typical restaurant with Greek specialties, excellent value for money Ausflüge: Voidokilia beach - Wonderful beach in a natural reserve.
